  • Public Transport Operating Hours

    • Public transport in Kraków is operated by MPK Kraków, with an extensive network of trams and buses serving the whole city. Trams run daily from around 4.30 am until midnight, whilst daytime buses run from around 4.00 am until 11.30 pm. Night buses run every night, usually from 11.30 pm to 5.00 am, providing connections between the city centre and the outlying districts.

    Main Lines and Coverage

    Kraków’s tram network covers the city centre, residential districts, and major tourist attractions.

    Some of the most useful tram lines for visitors include:

    • Line 3: Nowy Bieżanów ↔ Krowodrza Górka
    • Line 8: Borek Fałęcki ↔ Bronowice Małe
    • Line 18: Czerwone Maki P+R ↔ Krowodrza Górka
    • Line 20: Mały Płaszów P+R ↔ Cichy Kącik
    • Line 52 (Fast Tram): Czerwone Maki P+R ↔ Osiedle Piastów.The tram network is the fastest and most convenient way to travel between the Old Town, Kazimierz, Podgórze, the Main Railway Station, and other key areas of the city.

    Key Tourist Stops

    • Dworzec Główny: Kraków’s main railway station, with connections to regional, national, and international trains. It is also connected to Galeria Krakowska shopping centre.

    • Stary Kleparz: Convenient stop for reaching the Old Town and the Barbican.

    • Teatr Bagatela: One of the best stops for visiting the Main Market Square (Rynek Główny), the Old Town, and the Cloth Hall (Sukiennice).

    • Plac Wszystkich Świętych: Ideal for Wawel Royal Castle, Planty Park, and the historic city centre.

    • Miodowa: The main stop for exploring the historic Kazimierz district, famous for its Jewish heritage, restaurants, and nightlife.

      • Bus 300:Operates daily from approximately 4:30 AM to 10:30 PM. Departures every 20–30 minutes, depending on the time of day.
      • Bus 902: Operates every night from approximately 11:00 PM to 5:00 AM. Departures approximately every 60 minutes.

      Stops:

      Kraków Airport (Balice) – Bronowice SKA – Cracovia Stadion – Muzeum Narodowe – Centrum Kongresowe ICE – Os. Podwawelskie

    City Trams and Buses

    • Trams: Operate daily from approximately 4:30 AM until midnight, with the busiest routes running every 5–10 minutes during the day.

    • Day buses: Operate throughout the city from early morning until late evening, serving areas not reached by the tram network.

    • Night buses: A comprehensive network of night bus routes (mainly prefixed with 6xx and 9xx) operates every night, connecting the city centre with residential districts after tram services end.
